What is sugaring, you ask? Sugaring is a superior hair removal technique for all areas of the body that has been practiced for centuries. It is believed to have originated in ancient Egypt and is rumored to have been the method of hair removal used by Cleopatra herself. So what is it exactly?? Well…sugaring paste is made of sugar, water and lemon…that’s it! It’s so natural you can eat it. I gather a thick ball of paste in my hand and draw it onto the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth and with a quick flick of my wrist I remove the paste in the direction of the hair growth, and subsequently the hair.

Sugaring has long been compared to waxing-they both remove unwanted hair, however that’s about where the similarities end. Waxing uses chemicals and dyes, there is potential for being burned and it’s extremely hard to remove from skin and clothing if any is accidently left or spilled on, many sticks and strips are used as well, which creates a lot of waste. The sugar paste is non-toxic, the technique of removal is different than waxing and there is considerably less waste in the process. There are natural, high quality ingredients in the skin cleansers, tonics, powder, and mask I use, and the paste is organic, vegan and cruelty free, and the gloves and table covers I use are biodegradable and recyclable. By using the products I do, I am reducing my ecological footprint-creating a business that is sustainable and less environmentally impactful…all while you get incredible results and smooth, hairless skin! A little about me…

I am a dedicated and passionate Sugar Specialist. Some call me a Sugarist, others call me a Sugarista. I’ve also been called a “Vagician”. The latter term refers to the incredible results I create for those coming to see me for a Bikini or Brazilian (hair removal down there).

I love the instant gratification and lasting results that sugaring gives. I enjoy getting to know my clients and offering specialised services. I seek to provide a serene, pleasant experience for all my clients, maintaining body positivity and inclusivity and aiming to be the change I want to see in the beauty industry. I believe in protecting, promoting and maintaining body image – celebrating the beauty and diversity in every BODY. I offer unique, customised and customer centric appointments to provide clients with the most comfortable services and safe environment, with long lasting results.

I was raised in the Elk Valley/East Kootenays and after a few decades of living in big cities in Alberta and California, I returned to take care of aging parents, reinvent my life, re-acquaint myself with the great outdoors and renew my love for the mountains I always longed for. I’m a mountain girl through and through, who’s an artist with a kind heart, fierce mind and brave spirit-throw in a bit of bohemian, and a splash of gypsy, and that makes me the Wild Soul I am.
